2 · Trees
Tree names are guessed from the filenames — edit as needed.
3 · Placeholder parents
Clan-named "parents" (a Family Echo trick for unknown parentage) become an
Unknown cat carrying that clan, so the structure and clan context survive. Untick any
that are real cats. Unnamed members are kept as Unknown only when they have kits.
4 · Same character in several trees
Cats with identical names in different files are treated as the same character:
each copy stays in its own tree, joined by a 🔗 cross-tree link. Untick names that are
coincidences (different cats sharing a name).
5 · Export
In WC Lineage: ⇄ Share → ⬆ Import project JSON. The
project is added alongside your existing data — nothing is overwritten.
